3 Tips for Traveling with Kids

Traveling with my kids as a single mother wasn't always a walk in the park but it has been the most rewarding thing for my family. My kids deserve to travel and I truly believe more moms should travel with their babies. #blackmomstraveltoo

I want to help ease the anxiety or negative thoughts that might come up in your mind when it comes to traveling with kids.

Here are 3 tips to keep in mind when planning your travels:

1. Google your destination and look at the reviews from other moms (mom blogs). Trust these resources because we all know busy moms don't have time to write and offer guidance they didn't truly find valuable.

2.If you are getting a rental make sure you research and plan for where you will get groceries, where you can find affordable, kid friendly restaurant options, DO NOT convince yourself that you will cook every meal and if you can afford it, hire a chef to cook at least a few meals during your trip (this is shockingly affordable in a lots of places like Mexico and most of the Caribbean- like around $500 on top of the cost of groceries which is high on any island because its all shipped/flown in and you will spend that anyway).

3. If you have a good friend/family member/God parent that is close to you and your kids consider taking them along to help and support.
