Honored to Join Leadership Atlanta's Class of 2026: : Committed to Collaborative, Inclusive Leadership
I am truly honored and humbled to be chosen for the 2026 class of Leadership Atlanta. I applied this year because I believe our country is truly at an inflection point due to a lack of leadership and sensible direction. Inflation and cost of living are far outpacing wages, the value of our dollar is falling relative to global currency markets, and the wealth gap is growing exponentially. The state of education and access to affordable healthcare in the US pales embarrassingly in comparison to other first world countries. All of these are social issues that need our best and brightest minds to address and solve and yet we are at a point where those minds rarely LISTEN to each other let alone meaningfully engage on these critical topics because they don’t look alike. There is so much resentment and fear that is leading people to hover behind racial lines when in reality the solutions we ALL need will come from leaders and teams that are racially, politically, culturally and intellectually diverse. I am deeply disappointed in any and all leaders who play on the deepest racial fears of our citizens to further a selfish agenda and I believe the only way to combat this is to educate and foster tolerance and understanding as a foundation for real collaboration. I look forward to working alongside my LA classmates to foster meaningful change in Atlanta and set an example for how the same can be accomplished in cities across the US.
